Several cars were reported broken into on Manchester Road, according to the Newton Police logs.

Tuesday, Nov. 21

Vandalism/Attempted break in?: An Andrew Street resident reported they'd heard a crash and the sound of breaking glass. He told police he went to the basement and saw the screen on the floor and a hole in the glass window.

Warrant: Police arrested Wilgen PEguero-Arias, 32, of Roslindale, because he had an active warrant out of West Roxbury District Court for Threat to commit a crime and Assault and Battery.

Lock your car: A Manchester Road resident told police his car was broken into while he was parked in his driveway. He told police his car was not locked when he parked it there. His was not the only house on the block to have had that happen to.


Wednesday, Nov. 22

Lock your car: An officer reported that while he was canvasing the area of Manchester Road a woman came up to him and told him that she'd parked her car in her driveway overnight, unlocked, and when she got back to her car in the morning coins were missing.

Don't drink and drive: After two cars crashed near the corner of Langley Road near Boylston Street. The officer placed Kyung Dan Kim, 29, of Newton under arrest for drinking and driving.

Thursday, Nov. 23

Car break in: Someone reported their car was broken into while it was parked on Clinton Place.
