• Police responded to the Newtonville commuter rail station for a report of a disturbance on the train. The responding officer spoke with a number of passengers, who stated that a woman had been causing a disturbance on the train and refused to pay her fare. The woman, later identified as Laura Ebrecht, 31, of Natick, was pointed out to officers. Police said she exhibited several signs of intoxication, including a mild smell of alcoholic beverages. She was allegedly yelling at other passengers and using vulgar and aggressive language while pointing menacingly. After several loud refusals, police said, she was escorted off of the train. While on the platform, Ebrecht allegedly stumbled toward the train and made threats that she wasn't going to allow the train to leave the station. Officers took her into custody after attempts to get her to stop failed, according to police. Ebrecht was charged with disorderly conduct.
