Man Jumps On School Bus On I-90 In Newton: Police Investigating

A video shows a man stopping traffic on I-90 and then getting out of his car and climbing up onto the front of a school bus as cars wiz by.

NEWTON, MA —A man jumped on the hood of a school bus after forcing it to stop on Route 90 Westbound in Newton, State Police announced Thursday.

A 42-year-old Dorchester man was traveling on Route 90 Westbound in a 1999 Toyota Corolla Tuesday when, for reasons still under investigation, he stopped in the middle travel lane, forcing the school bus behind him to stop, according to Trooper Brett Blanciforti.

"What type of person does something like that?" the bus driver told NECN.

The man then got out of his car and attempted to gain access to the bus by the side entry door, but the bus driver (no surprise here) didn't let him in, police said.

The bus driver attempted to drive away, but the man walked in front of the bus and jumped up on the hood. Eventually the man got off the hood and the bus driver was able to drive away.
