Memorial Day in Newton: Parade Schedule, Road Closures, Parking Restrictions

NEWTON, MA - Newton will hold its annual Memorial Day parade this Sunday, May 29 at 3 p.m., starting at Newton North High School.

The route will run down Walnut Street and onto Watertown Street, ending at Magni-Coletti Park.

Here's a full rundown of the activities, street closures and parking restrictions along the route, via the Newton city website:

Children's Activities Along the Route

• Newtonville - Scavenger hunt starting at the Senior Center that includes fantastic Patriotic Prizes and the opportunity to meet Elmo, Winnie the Pooh and Minnie Mouse (2:30 - 3:30 p.m.)
• Corner of Walnut and Watertown streets (Lowell Park) - Delta Force Inflatable Obstacle Course and free popcorn (2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.)
• Fire Station at Watertown and Crafts streets - Touch a Truck/Engine and pictures with Clifford the Big Red Dog (2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.)
