Newton 9-11 Memorial Committee Launches Engraved Brick Program
The program invites locals to buy a brick that will appear in one of two walkways leading to the memorial.

The following is a press release issued by the Chairman Sande Young:
The Newton 9-11 Memorial Committee is happy to announce its Engraved Brick Program. It promises to be one of our most personalized fundraisers as we approach, with great anticipation, the groundbreaking for our monument this summer.
While the architectural drawings by Mark Sangiolo, creator of our beautiful memorial, are complete and going out to bid, we invite you to buy a brick that will appear in one of two walkways leading to the memorial. Situated at 1164 Centre Street near the Fire Headquarters in Newton Centre, the walkway will have gray granite stepping-stones set among red bricks. If you buy one of the bricks, you can engrave it with up to three lines of text (20 characters per line). We are selling a brick for $100. The money will help us pay for both the monument materials and maintenance.

We’ve made it easy to buy a brick! You can do so online at our website,
www.Newton9-11.org, where you will find an online form for specifying your brick’s engraved words and for paying with a credit card through PayPal.
Alternatively, you can write a check and send it, along with your brick’s text, to us through the U.S. mail. For that payment method, you can download the form at our website to your computer, print out the form, fill it out, and mail it with your check to our treasurer Jan Huffman.
