"All Things Animal" showcases animal-themed pieces created by more than 40 artists from around the world.
NEWTON, MA – Three Newton artists are among a group of more than 40 artists from around the world featured in a new exhibit at Boston Children's Museum.
"All Things Animal" invites kids to take part in a fully immersive educational experience where they'll observe and identify animals, as well as walk, talk and play like them.
Newton's Maya Gerr, Sasha Parfenova and Eleanor Elkin are among the artists featured in the exhibit, which showcases pieces from around the world and Boston's backyard.

The pieces are presented in a wide array of sizes and mediums, with the five-foot tall polar bear by artist Diane Fiedler standing in stark contrast to Laura Giardina's five-inch tall ladybug.
"Kids and grownups alike love animals! 'All Things Animal' has been a gallery show long in development beginning with an open call to artists last spring," said gallery committee member Linda Markarian in an announcement. "The many representations of animals brought to us by a myriad of talented artists will capture the imagination everyone shares for living creatures big and small."
