Newton Author Finalist in Young Adult Book Awards

Independent Publishers of New England has awarded Jane Hanser, of Newton Centre, in two categories for their annual book awards.

Independent Publishers of New England (IPNE) has awarded Jane Hanser of Newton Centre in two categories for their annual book awards: in the CATEGORY OF YOUNG ADULT BOOKS and in the CATEGORY OF LITERARY FICTION. Both awards are for her newly published book, DOGS DON’T LOOK BOTH WAYS.

The Independent Publishers of New England (IPNE) held its fifth annual conference at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel on September 25 and 26.

A professional organization comprised of independent publishers, aspiring and established authors, and publishing service providers, IPNE educates and connects its community through a series of workshops, conferences, and events throughout New England.

Author Jane Hanser’s poetry and essays have been published in numerous print and online journals such as Poetica Magazine, The Persimmon Tree, Every Writer’s Resource , The Jewish Journal, and more, and she’s been a guest blogger on sites such as BikeNewton. She is a member of Newton’s Bicycle Advisory Committee.
