Newton-Based Business Allows Customers to Barter with Retailers

The online service, Netotiate, launched yesterday.

Looking to find a deal on a high-price product, but too nervous to negotiate a price in person? A new, Newton-based website can help.

Netotiate is an online service that allows consumers to compare product prices online and make offers to merchants. According to an article published yesterday in the Boston Herald, the new website launched yesterday.

Each customer offer is made anonymously, the Herald says, and the merchant is limited to three counter-offers, which must be presented all at once.
