Newton Brush Fire Reaches 2 Alarms
A large brush fire burned near Louise Road on Friday.

NEWTON, MA - A large brush fire near Louise Road reached two alarms Friday. According to the Newton Fire Department, the blaze was a "good distance" from the road itself and began around 12:50 p.m.
Nearby fire departments provided mutual aid.
The fire was knocked down shortly after 2 p.m. No injuries were reported, according to the Newton TAB's Laura Lovett.
