Newton Businesses To Celebrate LoveFEST This Valentine’s Day

NEWTON, MA — This February, Newton residents can show their love for local small businesses by taking part in a city-wide LoveFEST, a shopping event celebrating Newton’s small, independent businesses.

Organized by ALL Over Newton, LoveFEST makes it easy to purchase gifts for all of your valentines from Newton’s numerous independent shops and restaurants, with the option of shopping online and picking up your purchases at one convenient location in Newton Centre on February 13, during Newton Community Pride’s WinterFEST.

“Taking part in LoveFEST is simple,” said Lauren Berman of ALL Over Newton in a statement. “Just shop locally for Valentine’s Day gifts, and support Newton’s small businesses.”

To make shopping local even easier, ALL Over Newton has posted an online LoveFEST webpage of participating Newton businesses. From there, shoppers can browse and purchase Valentine’s Day gifts directly from shops all over Newton, from chocolates, to heart-shaped bowls, flowers, aprons, restaurant gift cards, and more.

Most online purchases, except for perishables like fresh flowers, food, and alcohol, can then be picked up at WinterFEST on February 13—just in time for Valentine’s Day.

“LoveFEST evens the playing field for Newton’s small businesses,” said Berman. “With the wealth of gift options in the city, along with LoveFEST’s online shopping and convenient pick up, there’s no reason to shop anywhere else this Valentine’s Day.”

The LoveFEST shopping page is now live and can be accessed here. Purchases made up until midnight on Friday, Feb. 11 can be picked up at WinterFEST on Feb. 13.
