Newton Celebrates Re-Opening of Waban Hill Reservoir
Join in the celebration of the city taking ownership of the Waban Hill Reservoir.

Formerly closed to the public while owned by the MWRA, the Waban Hill Reservoir property is opening back up for walking and for the passive recreation.
On Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., celebrate the City of Newton taking ownership of the Waban Hill Reservoir.
This family event begins at 10:30 a.m. with face-painting and the chance for children to use two inflatables, including a large slide. The Friends of Waban Hill Reservoir also offer refreshments and Historic Newton has information about the history of the property.

A speaking program will begin at 11 a.m. and will include Mayor Warren, Parks and Recreation Commissioner Robert DeRubeis, Alderman Lisle Baker, and Friends of Waban Hill Reservoir President Gail Silberstein.
