Newton Cop Log: Newton Man Charged with Second OUI, Break-In at Church, Teen Charged with Assault
The following are excerpts from the Newton police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Sat., Sept. 27
- A 19-year-old male from Newton was expected to be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon following a fight on Tyler Terrace.
- Gerald McHugh, 52, of Newton, was charged with driving with a revoked license.
- A 35-year-old Newton man was charged with his second OUI after crashing into several vehicles on North Street. The man was driving a Jeep and his vehicle rolled over following the crash, trapping him inside. He was freed and transported to Mass. General Hospital.
Sun., Sept. 28
- Someone broke into St. Bernard’s Church on Washington Street and threw a bunch of robes on the ground.
- A thief stole a GPS and binoculars from a vehicle on Mason Road.
- A bicycle was stolen from a garage on Jerome Avenue.
- A diamond bracelet and a gold bracelet were stolen from a residence on Gould Road.
