Newton Cop Log: Teen Charged in Break-In, Brick Tossed Through Car Window, Phones Stolen from AT&T Store

Wed., Sept. 24

  • A man was expected to be charged in connection with an incident where a brick was thrown through the window of a vehicle parked on Hawthorne Avenue.
  • Four phone were reportedly stolen from the AT&T store on Boylston Street.
  • A thief stole jewelry, a laptop, bags, and a small safe from a home on Waban Avenue.

Thur., Sept. 25

  • Two 19-year-old boys—one from Newton and another from Waltham—were charged with breaking into a vehicle on Lexington Street. The pair allegedly took off when the confronted by the owner’s boyfriend and were caught by police a short distance away.
