Newton Cop Log: Teen Exposes Himself to Woman on River Street, Cab Driver Threatened with Knife

Aug. 29

  • A woman said another woman stole her wallet from the Madewell store at the Chestnut Hill Mall.
  • A woman said someone stole her pink Electra Cruiser bicycle from her home on Wheeler Road.

Aug. 30

  • A woman reported someone smashed a window on her car on Langley Road.
  • A woman reported someone smashed the hood of her BMW on Cabot Street.
  • A man reported someone stole his 2008 Yamaha YZFR1 motorcycle on Silver Lake Avenue.
  • A woman said a male teenager exposed himself to her in the area of River Street. The teen had dark curly hair. The woman said she on the phone and walking from a market on River Street and noticed a man following her. When she turned around, he made a “masturbating motion” then took off.

  • Staff at Star Market said a man tried to steal seven Hershey bars.

  • Graffiti was reported at the Mason Rice School.
  • A man on Temple Street said he returned from vacation to find someone broke into his home and stole silver coins.
