NEWTON, MA — Newton Food Pantry, the city's oldest and largest food pantry, is now offering services to college students in need.

According to the Hope Center, 52 percent of students who faced food or housing insecurity during the pandemic didn’t seek help because they didn’t know how. In addition, college students who deal with hunger are not as likely to succeed as those who have enough food.

Because of this need, Newton-based college students and staff can get groceries at Newton Food Pantry with just a valid school ID. More information is available here.
