Newton to Host Community Discussion on Opioids

NEWTON, MA – The City of Newton will host a community discussion on opioid abuse April 25 at Newton South High School. Topics covered include peer pressure and stress, prevention tips and warning signs and conversations about alcohol and drug abuse.

"Highs and Lows" is sponsored by the City of Newton Health and Human Services and presented by FCD Prevention Works. The program is open to both teens and adults.

"Highs and Lows" will run from 7 to 9 p.m. April 25 in the Newton South High School cafeteria. For more information, call the Health and Human Services Department at 617-796-1420.
