Newton To Host Thanksgiving Farmers' Market Nov. 20

The event will feature eighteen local farms and specialty vendors.

NEWTON, MA — Newton will host an outdoor Thanksgiving farmers' market in the parking lot of Dunn Gaherin's restaurant on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will feature eighteen local farms and specialty vendors who will set up shop with fresh produce, pies, craft chocolates, knife-sharpening, hostess gifts, and baked goods. There will also be prepared foods to serve your family in the busy days leading up to Thanksgiving.

“It’s really the perfect opportunity to do your Thanksgiving shopping, while supporting local small businesses,” said Lauren Berman of the local marketing firm All Over Newton in a statement. “Besides, it feels good just to be outdoors, seeing neighbors and friends, before we all start heading inside for the winter.”

The Thanksgiving farmers' market will offer locally grown produce, bulk items including nuts and dried fruits, and products from local food companies such as Better Life Food, Whim Chocolate, Kikos Coffee, Humble Bones Granola, Quicksilver Baking, and Wisemouth Teas.

The outdoor market at Dunn Gaherin's started last winter, as the community was looking for safe ways to shop, and will return in December for three Saturdays before Christmas.
