Newton July 4th Fireworks: 2018 Guide
Everything you need to know about the Fourth of July festivities in Newton and where to watch.

NEWTON,MA — Each year for some three decades Newton has hosted a local fireworks show for Independence day. This year's holiday is going to be a hot one. Be sure as you're out and about enjoying the festivities you drink enough water.
The Fourth of July forecast is still developing. The threat for isolated storms should end around sunset, according to the National Weather Service, so the fireworks shows will likely go on. The current forecast around Newton calls for temperatures in the mid-80s and a low chance of precipitation.
Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. at the Albemarle Field/Halloran Sports Complex. But lest you think that's it, the day and festivities start much earlier.

Brookline:
Brookline doesn't set off fireworks, but there are two prime spots people go to see Boston's display. Check out Cory Hill Park or the top of Larz Anderson. But get there early to find a good spot. In recent years the trees have obstructed some of the view from Cory Hill Park, but you can still glimpse a bit of them.
Boston's fireworks start at 10:30 p.m. on the esplanade.
Waltham:
Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. at Leary Field (get there by 5:30 p.m. for music)
Boston:
Boston fireworks start going off at 10:30 p.m. and last for about 20 minutes.
