Newton To Launch Artful Piano Project With Ribbon Cutting Event
The ceremony will take place Tuesday, July 27 from 5 to 5:45 p.m. at Farlow Park in Newton Corner.

NEWTON, MA — The City of Newton is welcoming Newton Community Pride's Artful Piano Project with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Ruthanne Fuller on Tuesday, July 27 from 5 to 5:45 p.m.
The event is open to the public and will take place at Farlow Park in Newton Corner, located at 129 Church Street. One of the pianos in the project, "Mountain Views" by Abby Zheng, is located at the park and a piano player and singer will sing a Broadway song from "My Fair Lady" at the ceremony.
As part of the Artful Piano Project, nine pianos painted by local artists were delivered to various locations in Newton on Tuesday, July 20 and tuned for anyone to enjoy. Pictures of the pianos are available on the Instagram account @NewtonCommunityPride.
