Newton Man Arrested For Distributing Child Porn

NEWTON, MA — Police arrested a Newton man Wednesday for having and distributing child pornography.

Police arrested Joseph T. Tiberio, 48, of Fuller Terrace at his home Wednesday morning on a warrant.

When asked for more information about the arrest and any advice to give to residents in the area on keeping children safe Brookline police declined to comment.

Tiberio is listed online a the former co-owner of the LA Auto Body Repair & Painting business, which has since closed.

In 2014 Patch reported that Tiberio was arrested on an active warrant on charges of OUI (drugs), OUI (liquor), and MV without authority.

According to the state sex offender registry 27 registered sex offenders live in Newton, two of which are categorized as the highest risk of re-offending.
