Newton, MassChallenge to Celebrate Partnership at NIC Startup Harvest

Mayor Warren and MassChallenge CEO John Harnthorne will speak at the event, which recognizes the innovation center's Wells Fargo grant.

NEWTON, MA – The MassChallenge Newton Innovation Center will hold its first-ever NIC Startup Harvest on Monday to celebrate the organization's partnership with the city and a grant awarded to the center over the summer.

In June, Wells Fargo awarded a $150,000 CommunityWINS grant to Newton, to be used on the innovation center.

Monday's event will recognize the award and feature keynote speeches by Mayor Setti Warren and MassChallenge CEO John Harnthorne.

Afterwards, a team member from Wells Fargo and the U.S. Conference of Mayors will join Warren and Harnthorne for a ceremony and check presentation.

Stop by the ceremony Monday for catered food and drinks, networking opportunities and presentations from several MassChallenge 2016 finalists.

The NIC Startup Harvest will run from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Newton Innovation Center, 124 Vernon St.
