Warren adds that participating in this walk is important because itâs the nationâs largest single-day fundraiser, whose mission is to raise money for pediatric and adult patient care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Mayor Warren witnessed first-hand the treatment his close friend has received at Dana-Farber. In 2013, Dana-Farber completed a genetic mapping of Palmerâs brain tumor and identified a genetic mutation. Her trial therapy has been covered through fundraising donations for Dana-Farber.
