Newton Mayoral Candidate Sangiolo Endorsed By Elected Officials

Sangiolo has been endorsed by two state reps, six Newton City Councilors, and six former Newton City Councilors.

NEWTON, MA — Mayoral Candidate Amy Mah Sangiolo has been endorsed by a group of elected officials, including two state reps, six Newton City Councilors, and six former Newton City Councilors.

The following group of leaders support Sangiolo for her new ideas, accomplishments, and dedication to the city:

  • Tarik Lucas, City Councilor At-Large, Ward 2
  • John Oliver, City Councilor At-Large, Ward 1
  • Emily Norton, City Councilor, Ward 2
  • Julia Malakie, City Councilor, Ward 3
  • Lenny Gentile, City Councilor At-Large, Ward 4
  • Chris Markiewicz, City Councilor, Ward 4
  • Mike Malec, Former President of the Newton Board of Aldermen
  • Jay Harney, Former City Councilor
  • Dick Blazer, Former City Councilor

“Amy’s extensive involvement in Newton, her track record of accomplishments and commitment to our schools are remarkable,” said Oliver in a statement. "She is the leader that I believe Newton needs now.”
