Newton Mother's Day Superstar: Diana Erani

Mother’s name: Diana Erani

Why my mom rocks: She’s the biggest advocate for her children. She works full time and is the perfect wife to my father in addition to supporting all of her four children in everything we do. From visiting me at UMass Amherst two hours away, to driving my brother and sister Josh and Sarah to and from theater practices at Oak Hill Middle School, to attending tons of meetings for my brother Joe’s Ligerbots robotics team, my mom will go to any length to be there for her children. I also can’t forget her youngest child, our puppy Manny, whom she dotes on and always gets special treats. She’s also a great cousin, sister, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, and daughter to all of our other relatives in Newton, driving my Grandmas to doctor’s appointments, hosting family events, and being a constant source of advice and emotional support to our whole family. She works tirelessly to make us all feel special and happy and still maintains a positive, upbeat attitude, as well as being a role model to all of us. My mom deserves the spotlight because she never gets enough recognition for the things that she does for others. She grew up in Newton and improves the town by being involved in my siblings’ schools and by always treating other with love and respect. She would never ask to get attention for the things that she does, but she very much deserves it.
