The ensemble is dedicated to highlighting the work of female composers.

NEWTON, MA — Cappella Clausura, a Newton-based music ensemble dedicated to highlighting the work of female composers, has announced its 2021-22 season CHRYSALIS, a series of upcoming live performances.

This year, the ensemble of vocalists and players has a new home at Emmanuel Church in Boston, giving concerts there on Sunday afternoons while still performing in Newton at the Eliot Church.

“We re-embark, out of chrysalis and into butterfly, live at long last, with more astounding music from the minds and hearts of brilliant women” said Amelia LeClair, Founder and Director of Cappella Clausura. “This is the most educational and beautiful entertainment you can get!”
