
NEWTON, MA – Newton's winter parking ban has officially been lifted as of Friday morning. It will go into effect again Nov. 15.
The ban prohibited any vehicle, other than an emergency vehicle, from parking on any street, way, highway, road, parkway or private way that is dedicated or open to the use of the public for more than an hour between 2 and 6 a.m.
This restriction applies to commercial vehicles year-round.

The penalty for violating the overnight parking rules is a $25 fine.
