Newton Police: 70 Watches, Computers, More Stolen at USA Trekker Break
The following are excerpts from the Newton police log.
Sept. 20
- Police responded to Northgate Parkway to serve a probation warrant. Dennis P. Rohanna, 45, 31 Northgate Parkway West, Newton, was arrested and charged on probation warrant.
- Police took a report of a stolen car. The reporting person said that his 1995 Honda Civic, which was in his sonâs possession, was stolen from his residence on Bryon Road sometime after 8 p.m. on Sept. 17. Boston police told his son the car was parked on the Newton side of the street and around 2:06 a.m. on Friday it was involved in an accident in Roslindale on Amherst St., where a witness saw the suspect flee the scene. The person was told to file a stolen vehicle report with Newton even though the car was found.
- Police were dispatched to USA Trekker on Lexinington Street for a report of breaking and entering, stating that they closed up and left the business approximately at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18. When they came back the next day at 1 p.m. they saw that the rear door had been kicked in and merchandise was stolen. The back door was dead bolted shut at the time. The force of the kick compromised the door frame. Missing is an Apple Air, 70 G-shock Watches, two Maxpedition backpacks, 15 drago gear packs, 120 Action cameras, 50 mono pad selfie sticks
