Newton Police: Car Vandalized, Crass Word Carved and Underlined on the Door
The following are excerpts from the Newton Police Department log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Incidents, July 9
- Police responded to NWH for a report of past vandalism to a motor vehicle. A woman said that on July 9, she found a spot in the garage, and returned to her vehicle, and found not only had the side of her vehicle been scraped but someone carved a crass word into the rear passenger side panel of her car and underlined it.
- Police responded to Aptara at 150 California St. for a report of past larceny, which had reportedly taken place on July 3. A person said that wireless keyboards, wireless computer mice and an external drive were stolen.
- Police responded to a report that a trash container was stolen.
