Newton Police Cops & Cones Coming This Month
The department held its first "Coffee With a Cop" spinoff over the summer.
NEWTON, MA – "Cops & Cones" is returning to Newton this month, as the police department brings back the popular spinoff of "Coffee With a Cop."
Residents will have the opportunity to meet with officers for a discussion over their favorite treat at Cabot's Ice Cream and Restaurant on October 15.
Attendees will also be able to participate in raffles at the event.

According to the "Coffee With a Cop" website, the initiative began in Hawthorne, CA in 2011 and has since spread to more than 3,000 communities nationwide. The purpose of the program is to establish a dialogue between police and the communities they serve.
Don't miss your chance to grab an ice cream and have a chat with a Newton officer Saturday, Oct. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cabot's Ice Cream and Restaurant, 743 Washington St. in Newton.
