Newton Police: Girl Reports Men for Waving at Her; Person Steals Bike, Leaves Another In Its Place
The following are excerpts from the Newton police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Incidents, June 4
- Police responded to a report of a suspicious incident that occurred at 3 p.m. The reporting party wanted to report a suspicious incident that happened on her way home from the Bigelow School. She said she was walking home around 3:15 p.m. and on Cotton Street when a red pickup truck with two Hispanic males in it passed her, waving. She said she noticed as they drove, the male driver looked in the rear view mirror, but did not try to speak to her or try to stop her.
- Police took a report of a stolen bicycle. A woman said sometime between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., her black adult Trek bicycle was taken from her unlocked garage. She said no one was home during the theft, but believes the garage was closed. The suspect left another bicycle that does not belong to her in the driveway - a black, adult Bridgestone City Limit bicycle.
