Newton Police Log: Man Charged with Assaulting Newton-Wellesley Hospital Worker; T.J. Maxx Employee Charged with Stealing Clothes; Vehicle Crashes Into Shop

Sat., Nov. 29
- A caller reported someone crashed a vehicle into his shop in the area of 750 Beacon St.
- Two wallets were stolen from a vehicle on Paul Street.
- Following a traffic stop near Boston College, Xining Li, 20, of Newton, was charged with speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. He also had a warrant for other vehicle violations.
- Marie Bertrand, 44, of Boston, was charged with stealing clothes while she worked at T.J. Maxx on Needham Street.
Sun., Nov. 30
- A 41-year-old man from Waltham was charged with assault and battery on a healthcare provider at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
- A 19-year-old from Brookline was charged with shoplifting from Star Market on Boylston Street.
