Newton Police Log: Teen Wegmans Worker Charged with Stealing Cash; Assault at Walgreens; Stolen Car

Fri., Nov. 14
- A bicycle was stolen from Elmhurst Road.
- Cash was stolen from a Lexus parked in a garage on Washington Street.
- A man on a bicycle came upon a black Nissan Altima on Walker Street and stole the vehicle. He left the bicycle, which was taken by police as evidence.
- A 17-year-old male was charged with stealing cash from Wegmans.
- A 44-year-old man from Newton was charged with assaulting another man at the Walgreens on Beacon Street.
Mon., Nov. 17
- A woman said a man tried to break into her residence on Philbrick Road. He ran away when he noticed her.
- A laptop and cell phone were stolen from a vehicle on Kingman Road.
- A GPS, iPhone charger cable, and spare tire were stolen from a vehicle on Crescent Street.
