Newton Police Log: Stolen MacBook, More NSTAR Scams

Thur., Oct. 9

• A man reported his 2014 MacBook Pro was stolen from his residence on Winchester Street.
• A man on Walnut Street said he was the target of a NSTAR scam. A caller said he was from the company and demanded he purchase a prepaid card to prevent his electricity from being shut off.
• A man said he Baume Mercier watch was stolen while he had workers at his home on Withington Road.

Fri., Oct. 10

• A woman said someone stole an Ann Taylor dress from a package at her residence on Hemlock Road.
• A woman said someone stole her purse from her vehicle on Charles Street.
