Newton Police Log: Unlicensed Teen Charged with Crashing MINI Cooper; Superglue Squeezed in Locks of Local Shop

Wed., Dec. 24
- A woman said someone scratched her car after a parking dispute in Newtonville.
- A woman said when she went in her residence on Washington Street, she saw a man trying to break into her garage. She screamed and the man ran away. She said he was a white male in his early 30s, standing about 5 feet, 10 inches. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
- A woman said her MacBook Air was stolen from her apartment on Bennington Street.
Fri., Dec. 26
- A17-year-old from Brookline was charged with unlicensed driving and reckless driving after he crashed a red MINI Cooper on Brookline Road.
- A man said someone tried to break into his garage on Cabot Street.
- A man said someone stole his phone at the Showcase Superlux on Boylston Street.
