• A woman said someone scratched her car after a parking dispute in Newtonville.
• A woman said when she went in her residence on Washington Street, she saw a man trying to break into her garage. She screamed and the man ran away. She said he was a white male in his early 30s, standing about 5 feet, 10 inches. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
• A woman said her MacBook Air was stolen from her apartment on Bennington Street.

• A17-year-old from Brookline was charged with unlicensed driving and reckless driving after he crashed a red MINI Cooper on Brookline Road.
• A man said someone tried to break into his garage on Cabot Street.
• A man said someone stole his phone at the Showcase Superlux on Boylston Street.

Sat., Dec. 27

• Someone put superglue in the locks at Trinkets & Treasures on Craft Street.
• A juvenile assaulted a friend with a knife after playing video games at a residence on Centre Street.

Sun., Dec. 28

• A woman said someone smashed the window of her vehicle on Pine Street and stole two purses inside.

Mon., Dec. 29

• Daniel Robinson, 18, of Newton, was charged with stealing a red Toyota Highlander.
