The following are excerpts from the Newton Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Incidents, July 10

  • Police responded to TJ Maxx for a report of indecent exposure. The reporting person said that they were walking across the parking lot, and a male opened his driver’s side door. As the girls approached the vehicle, they noticed that the male had on only a T-shirt, and was not wearing any pants or underwear. As they passed, he allegedly exposed his genitals. Jason P. Georgopoulos, 38, 27 Hulbert Road, Worcester, was arrested and charged with open and gross lewdness.
  • Police responded to Dedham Street around 6:30 p.m. to a breaking and entering into a residence. The residents found the back door to the outside had been kicked in. They didn’t notice anything missing in the house, but noticed that there were some things out of place and not in the manner by which they left the house the previous week. They said the last time they were in the house was July 5 and no one should have been there. They also found two shirts on the couch that weren’t there before.
