Newton Police: Man Steals Wallets from Bloomingdales
The following are excerpts from the Newton police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 9
- A woman stated that she parked her car in the driveway overnight and around 7 a.m. she saw that her right rear window was smashed. Nothing was missing.
- Police responded to Bloomingdales for a past larceny. Employees stated that a white male in his 30s with short hair wearing jeans and a black T-shirt stole two black Gucci womenâs wallets between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Police responded to CVS on Walnut Street for a report of shoplifting. Loss Prevention said that they saw a black female and white male later identified select bottles of tonic from the cooler and then conceal them in a backpack and attempt to leave. Both were issued trespass notices. One was a 15-year-old male from Newton. The other a 16-year-old female from Newton.
