Newton Police: Party Leads to Fight with Notebook, Knife; Stolen Car
The following are excerpts from the Newton Police Department log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, July 5
Police received a report of a person who was threatened by a knife. The person came into headquarters to speak with police while units went to Beacon Street. When police got to Beacon Street a person said to them that he invited four friends to his house for a party that eventually got out of control. It increased to approximately 30 people, most of whom he did not know. The house owner started noticing some of his belongings were missing and decided to end the party by kicking people out. While kicking people out, arguments erupted, which led to a woman threatening to hit him and threw a notepad at her head. The person said that he took out a a folded knife and slammed it on the kitchen counter top and asked her to leave his residence, which she did. Police are seeking a hearing against him for a charge of assault by means of a dangerous weapon against this male, 18, from Newton.
