Newton Police Selling Patches For Autism Awareness Month

All proceeds from the patches will be donated to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.

NEWTON, MA — The Newton Police Department is selling special edition autism patches starting April 1 to support Autism Awareness Month, said the department in a Facebook post Thursday.

All proceeds from the patches will be donated directly to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, Inc., an organization that provides critical, responsive, and innovative programming and services that answer the everyday challenges of keeping people with autism safe and included in their communities.

The Newton police autism patches are $10 each and can be purchased here. The department has a fundraising goal of $3,000.
