Newton Police Warning Amid Rash Of Vehicle Break-Ins In May
Newton police said there have been at least 13 reported vehicle breaks since the beginning of the month.

NEWTON, MA â Newton residents are being urged to lock their vehicles and remove valuables from them at night amid a rash of break-ins in recent weeks.
Newton police said there have been at least 13 vehicle break-ins reported during the month of May.
"A majority of these cases were left unlocked," police said. "Protect yourself and your property. If you see anything suspicious, call us right away to report it."

Residents are urged to make sure windows are fully up and vehicles are locked at all times, to move valuables out of the vehicle or to trunks and glove boxes where they are out of sight, to park in well-lit areas when possible and to never leave a key or spare key inside a vehicle when it is unoccupied.
