Newton Power Outages: 200+ In The Dark

NEWTON, MA – Over 200 Eversource customers in Newton are without power Wednesday morning, according to the company. A statewide weather outlook was issued by the National Weather Service Tuesday evening into Wednesday, as heavy rain and hefty gusts of wind slammed the area.

Eversource says 230 of its customers are experiencing outages, accounting for about 0.57 percent of the 40622 customers served in Newton.

Eversource is reporting that out of the 1,153,912 customers it has in the eastern part of the state, 1,132 are without power.
