Newton Residents Named to The Partnership Board of Directors

The Partnership, Inc. is a conglomerate of professionals dedicated to furthering corporate diversity.

Newton, MA – Two Newton residents have been named to the board of directors of The Partnership, Inc., an organization dedicated to furthering economic competitiveness in the Boston area through creating an environment for diverse professionals to thrive.

Liz Cheng and Kenneth Leonetti were two of five new members appointed to the board.

Cheng is a general manager for WGBH and oversees WGBH2, WGBH44, 'GBH Kids and the national public media multicast channel, WORLD. She was previously vice president and director of programming and communications at WCVB-TV and has received a national Primetime Emmy Award nomination, two National Association of Broadcasters Awards and two National Association of Television Programming Executives honors during her time in television.

Leonetti is a partner with Foley Hoag LLP and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. He is a litigator and restructuring lawyer who specializes in bankruptcy and corporate reorganization, financial litigation and trade secret, software and licensing disputes and has been recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America and Massachusetts Super Lawyers for his work in bankruptcy litigation. Prior to joining Foley Hoag, Leonetti was a law clerk for the Hon. Charles P. Sifton, chief judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

In addition to Cheng and Leonetti, Tsedal Neeley, Mark Touhey and Atul Varma were named to the board.

"Boston is an incredibly diverse community and we believe organizational leadership should be a reflection of its larger community," Carol Fulp, president and chief executive officer of The Partnership, said in a press release. "The addition of Liz, Ken, Tsedal, Mark and Atul to our board will strengthen the effectiveness of our organization’s work in an increasingly diverse Boston community and throughout the Commonwealth."
