Newton Restaurants Must Apply To Offer Outdoor Dining In 2022
Outdoor dining licenses are issued for a one-year term and are renewable every year starting in 2022.

NEWTON, MA — Newton restaurants that wish to offer outdoor dining this spring must apply for licenses to serve by filing for an alteration of the licensed premises, according to the city.
Outdoor dining licenses are issued for a one-year term and are renewable every year starting in 2022. Every restaurant that offered outdoor dining last year must apply, except those that has their outdoor dining locations approved prior to the pandemic.
"Given the how much we love our favorite Newton restaurants how important they are to village life and the difficult years they have endured, we continue to support our restaurants with expanded outdoor dining,” says the city’s website.
