Newton’s 2021 Holiday Gift Drive In Full Blast: How To Help
The annual gift drive began on Monday, Nov. 15 and will continue through Monday, Dec. 13.
NEWTON, MA — Newton’s annual Holiday Gift Drive is at the height of donation season and is still in need of new and unwrapped gifts.
The 2021 Holiday Gift Drive, sponsored by The Village Bank in partnership with the Newton Rotary and the city’s Department of Health and Human Services, strives to make the holidays special for local children whose families who need a little extra help.
“As we continue to adjust to the new ‘normal,’ we understand the impact the pandemic continues to have on many families,” said Joseph De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank, in a statement. "In collaboration with our incredible community providers, The Village Bank is proud to help deliver gifts and spread some holiday cheer to local families this holiday season."

Newton residents and other community members are asked to support the cause by dropping off new and unwrapped gifts now through Monday, Dec. 13 to any Newton branch of The Village Bank or any of the following Newton Neighbors drop-off locations:
- 184 Islington Road, Auburndale
- 33 Hamlin Road, Newton Centre
- 22 Florence Court, Newtonville
- 365 Cherry Street, West Newton
Gifts should be for children ages newborn to 10 and may include age-appropriate toys, games, electronics, and sporting goods, as well as gift cards from local stores. Tax-deductible cash donations to the Newton Rotary are also welcome.

Some of the most requested gifts this year are Lego kits for ages 6 to 10, Lego “Friends,” building kits for younger builders, craft kits for ages 6 to 10, anything Paw Patrol, stuffed animals, and board and card games for all ages.
