NEWTON, MA — Baramor Restaurant, Newton’s charitable restaurant and bar, will host a Cultural Charity Dinner and Spicy Food Challenge in partnership with Project Citizenship on Sunday, Dec. 5 from 4 to 8:30 p.m.

The “Suffer for Charity” event will feature an outdoor three-course dinner with an optional spicy eating competition and raffles. A percentage of the money raised will be donated directly to Project Citizenship.

“Ninety percent of eligible immigrants do not naturalize; that bodes poorly for our social, cultural, economic and civic health,” said Mitra Shavarini, Executive Director of Project Citizenship, in a statement. "At Project Citizenship, we are excited about Baramor’s philanthropic partnership to get our message out in regards to the importance of U.S. citizenship and our overall mission.”
