Newton's Best Kid-Friendly Restaurant: The Winner Is...

Finding the perfect restaurant for the whole family can often be a difficult task.

Over the last five days, we've asked the Newton readers  for a bite to eat. The winner of the Readers' Choice Poll: . 

Located on Washington Street in Newtonville, Cabot's has been a fixture in the Newton community since 1969. It offers more than 40 varieties of ice cream, lunch and dinner fare as well a breakfast menu that runs all day. 

Cabot's took 45 percent of the total votes cast in this week's Readers' Choice poll. Second place was a close call, with taking 17 percent and just behind that with 15 percent of the vote.

We'll present Cabot's with a certificate for their "Best Kid-Friendly Restaurant in Newton" status in the near future. 

Next week, Newton Patch is looking for the best place to buy candy in Newton. Voting begins Monday at 6 a.m.
