Newton Seeking Submissions For Haiku Poems

Selected Haiku, chosen by a panel of judges, will be printed on colorful lawn signs and placed along public walkways throughout Newton.

NEWTON, MA — In celebration of National Poetry Month in April, Newton is inviting all residents to submit an original haiku poem.

The project, called Poetry Newton, is organized by Newton Poets Grey Held and Elizabeth Lund in partnership with the City of Newton’s Cultural Development staff.

Selected Haiku, chosen by a panel of judges, will be printed on colorful lawn signs and placed along public walkways throughout Newton for all to enjoy during April.

Poems must be submitted here by Thursday, March 30.
