Newton Schools Closed Tuesday, Snow Emergency Declared
The snow emergency/parking ban will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.

NEWTON, MA â Newton Public Schools will be closed Tuesday in light of Winter Storm Stella, the district announced Monday.
A snow emergency will be in effect, beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. Any cars parked on the street must be moved by this time or are subject to towing. Drivers are encouraged to stay off the roads due to potential visibility issues.
Trash and recycling pickup will be on a one-day delay beginning Tuesday. Residents should put their barrells curbside by 7am the day after their regular pickup day.

Please be reminded that the city requires all residents to clear their sidewalk within 30 hours of the conclusion of the storm.
