Newton South Varsity Baseball Coach Resigns: Report
Ron Jordan turned in his resignation Wednesday after nine seasons with the Lions.

NEWTON, MA â Newton South High School varsity baseball coach Ron Jordan resigned Wednesday after nine seasons with the Lions, according to a Newton TAB report.
The resignation came during a meeting with Newton South principal Dr. Joel Stembridge when it was apparent that he and the administration would not be able to agree on how to run a high school baseball program, Jordan told the TAB.
Those differences included fundraising efforts for the team, Jordan's ability to assemble his own coaching staff and a two-hour restriction on practices, the TAB reported.
