Newton Teen 'Senior Assassin' Game Spurs Alert To Residents
Police told residents they may see the squirt gun-sporting high school students playing a version of the game of tag in the coming weeks.

NEWTON, MA â Newton residents may see teens sporting squirt guns darting through neighborhoods playing a version of tag or high-and-seek as part of a high school tradition called "Senior Assassin" in the coming weeks.
Newton police said that while they "do not condone the playing of this game" officers have spoken to the high school students about doing so safely, making smart choices and the potential consequences if any laws are broken.
Police said students have been told that their water weapons should not in any way resemble an actual gun or firearm and that parents are being asked to reinforce this message "for the safety of all."
