Newton Teens Arrested For Breaking Into Hotel Construction Storage Container
Police said they saw three teens walking out of a storage container at the Newton Marriott Hotel, and arrested them.

NEWTON, MA —Two Newton teens and one Connecticut teen, were arrested on May 22 and charged with breaking into a construction storage container at the Newton Marriott Hotel.
A Newton Police officer on patrol happened to see the teens when he drove through the hotel parking lot on Commonwealth Avenue, around 4:53 p.m..
He said he drove near a section of the rear parking lot cordoned off for construction equipment and materials, when he saw within that cordoned off area three teens, he described as young white men, walking out of a large walk in freight container filled with construction materials/supplies.

As soon as they saw the police officer, they looked away and made a bee line to their car parked a little ways from the freight container, according to the police report.

Some of the report was redacted, but it appeared the police helped notify a supervisor who inspected the interior of the freight container, but did not report anything missing or any damage to container and its contents.
Still, the officer placed all three of the young men, aged 18 and 19 under arrest for breaking and entering. One of the men also was charged with possessing a fake driver's license.
An arrest does not indicate a conviction. And all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Follow the Newton Patch on Facebook.
